Primary medical uses of our STERILYN nylon film:

  • Sterilization - specifically steam, autoclave, dry heat and radiation
  • Clean room procedures

Our STERILYN nylon pouches and lay-flat tubing:

  • Provide strong resistance to puncture and chemicals
  • Can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -100° F to +400° F
  • Provide high slough resistance
  • Are an effective microbial barrier
  • Are easy to monitor due to the film being transparent in color

STERILYN nylon pouches and lay-flat tubing are made from alloyed MONOLYN film, which allows the products to remain strong and resistant to any abrasion and tearing that may accompany sterilization and clean room procedures. These nylon film products are also transparent, so medical and dental instruments are easily recognizable.

STERILYN nylon pouches can be imprinted with heat-sensitive inks that allow for immediate indication of temperature reached during the autoclaving process. STERILYN lay-flat nylon tubing can be cut and sealed to any length that you need. Pre-cut, boxed nylon pouches are available in standard lengths, while lay-flat nylon tubing and pouches are also available in anti-static nylon. Our anti-static nylon film and bags can be used in clean room applications, but are not FDA compliant for food contact.

STERILYN nylon pouches meet all FDA regulations regarding medical sterilization. STERILYN has also been tested by leading independent laboratories for its effectiveness in sterilization equipment.
