ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and QS 9000 Certification
In 1997, M&Q Packaging Corporation was awarded the coveted ISO 9001:2000 System Certified status, a
strong endorsement of our excellent manufacturing standards and practices. This means that M&Q Pennsylvania has undergone—and
passed—the rigorous quality management testing and certification of the International Standards Organization (ISO).
Now the El Paso, San Antonio, and Cebu Plants have
also completed the requirements and have been accredited as
QS 9000 Certified and ISO 9001:2000 Certified! These accreditations
are significant accomplishments and absolutely mandatory in order to
conduct business in the automotive industry both domestically and
internationally.
Quality management systems covers all aspects of a manufacturer's
plant and practices. The International Standards Organization
applies rigorous requirements to a manufacturer's quality
management system before ISO 9001:2000 System Certification or
QS 9000 Certification are granted. The ISO requirements describe
"what" must be accomplished, leaving the "how" up to each
individual organization.
